#Destiny 2 armor picker mod#
If you want to spec even harder into not dying, also consider the new healing grenades, and the Well of Life mod which triggers another form of health regen when picking up solar wells. No surprise, then, that a Sunbreaker wearing that hat and also running 100 Resilience is the tankiest build in the game right now, thanks to constant Barricade/Sunspot spam.ĭespite being reworked twice, the Lorely Splendor titan exotic helmet remains as powerful as it is gorgeous looking. In fact, it's the same buff that the recently reworked Titan exotic helmet Lorely Splendor gives. The buff granted by Classy Restoration is actually 'Restoration x2', which you don't need to be a maths whizz to know is double the basic version. I also like it a lot on the current Starfire Protocol Warlock build, which involves spamming Fusion Grenades that explode twice using the Touch of Flame aspect, so that you can run an Empowering Rift that also triggers healing. You can easily have Restoration x2 up almost constantly. It's especially strong on Gunslinger Hunter, because the dodge ability already has a low cooldown and you want to be using it as often as possible anyway. It reads: "Activating your Solar class abilities grants you Restoration." The 'Restoration' effect regenerates health and shields over time, and-crucially-isn't interrupted by taking damage. Most notable is the Classy Restoration mod on the final column of the Season Artifact. (Image credit: Bungie)Ĭompounding our newfound tankiness further, Season of the Haunted delivered several other potent healing options.

The final column of the Season of the Haunted artifact is full of juicy mods for Solar subclasses. I strongly recommend building at least one high resilience set for raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Luckily, thanks to the superb tool that is D2 Armor Picker, which enables you to precisely specify what stat tiers you're trying to hit, then tells you what armor and mods to use, I was still often able to reach the cap. That process was made harder by the fact I've been routinely sharding armor with high Reslience for years now. I was so impressed, that I've painstakingly re-specced most of my favourite builds to have 90+ Resilience. And for reference, 40% damage resistance is the same amount that the old Protective Light mod granted before it was nerfed into atoms. I found myself surviving all sorts of engagements that would normally have killed me, and often with a substantial chunk of health remaining. The Phalanx boss is easy to reach, but for efficiency’s sake, consider doing the checkpoint saving trick, where players tag the dungeon's checkpoint on different characters for later runs.In any remotely challenging content, the effect is immediately noticeable. The first boss in this dungeon can be easily farmed for a shot at high-stat armor as well as some dungeon-exclusive weapons like the Judgment hand cannon and Last Breath auto rifle. These mods won’t necessarily drop high-stat armor pieces, but they will at least guarantee that all protective gear will have the stats that players want, greatly increasing the efficiency of armor farming.Īll armor pieces from chests and boss kills in the Prophecy dungeon will have higher stat rolls than most of the other gear sources in the game. These Armorer mods will ensure that armor pieces will add a minimum of 10 into the stat that players choose.

Unbeknown to many new players, ghosts can be upgraded to fit a variety of mods, including ones that increase the chances of armor pieces to drop with the stats that players want to build toward. Only four engrams can be focused into high-stat armor pieces each week. However, this method can only be done once a week per account.

The Recaster also lets players choose their random item’s primary stat, which is great for crafting specific builds. This method only requires players to have four Umbral Engrams, Glimmer, Legendary Shards and enough seasonal currency to get a random armor piece that’s sure to have a high total stat count. The easiest yet most overlooked method of obtaining guaranteed high-stat armor pieces is via the Prismatic Recaster at the H.E.L.M.
